PRINCE'S BARBER ACADEMY COURSES

The following courses are offered by Prince’s Barber Academy.

BARBER – 1800 CLOCK HOURS

The course teaches barbering with special emphasis on practical training. Students blend theoretical training and practical training on a daily basis. The theoretical training is conducted in a classroom setting consisting of lecture and demonstration. Practical training takes place in our separate clinic which offers barber services to the public.

  • Structure of the Head, Face and Neck (Anatomy & physiology)

  • Human Trafficking

BARBER CROSSOVER -1000 CLOCK HOURS

The course is designed to teach barbering to persons previously licensed as Cosmetologists. Theoretical training is conducted in a classroom setting consisting of lecture and instructor demonstration. Practical training takes place in our Barber School Clinic which offers all Barber Services to the general public.

  • Histology of the hair, skin, and nerves;
  • Structure of the head, face, and neck (anatomy and physiology);
  • Elementary chemistry relating to barbering sterilization and antiseptic;
  • Diseases of the skin, hair and glands;

  • Salesmanship; Advertising; Public Relations, and Human Relations
  • Barber Ethics and Shop Management

  • Facial treatments (rolling cream- rest facial-packs-bleach-clay) 
  • Shampoo Treatments (plain shampoo and tonic – hot oil shampoo )
  • Hair Coloring (tinting) and Bleaching

  • Haircutting I (Tapers)
  • Haircutting II (Styles/Trends Cuts)
  • Haircutting III (Styling)

BARBER INSTRUCTOR -500 CLOCK HOURS

The course is designed to teach licensed barbers to be barber instructor. Theoretical training is conducted in a classroom setting consisting of lecture and instructor demonstration. Practical training takes place in our Barber School Clinic which offers all Barber Services to the general public.
